Issue 81: They Want to Sell It, Now What? |

Dear Reader, Once your product is accepted, they may ask you who you want to 'pitch' your product. Along with the show's host, most products also feature someone that represents the product. That product person can be the inventor; a paid spokes person or a celebrity. If your product was a long-form DR product, you may want to use the same celebrity or spokesperson that you used in your show. This is also a great way to 'remind' the viewer of your product, if they have seen your show before. AreYou The One To Sell Your Product?
If you don't already have a product person, you need to get one. The channel may ask to see a tape of your product person, if they are not familiar with them previously. If you decide to appear, in some cases, you can get training from experienced presenters. Training fees vary, so ask your buyer. The best advantage to going on-air with your product is that you are your biggest fan and know more about the product than someone you hire to appear. For some people, it is just too scary, so you have to make the final decision if you appear or bring in someone else to be your expert. Issue 79: Nuts and Bolts of Getting on Home Shopping
